When we first started thinking about this section of our website, we rapidly came to the conclusion that it was impossible to list all the industries that STG has been involved with over the years. Just a few more examples read as follows:
- The section of the Berlin Wall, embellished with graffiti, shipped from Berlin to Los Angeles, for display in an art collectors garden.
- The vibrator, both oversize and overweight, transported from Royston to Moscow. It’s purpose, once rocket components had been bolted in place, being to replicate the shock forces (i.e. vibrate), during a rocket launch.
- The armoured, personnel carriers, collected from Switzerland and delivered to Ireland – where they were repainted white and shipped out to UN peace keeping forces in Africa.
- The water filtration units shipped to Sierra Leone, as part of the fight against Ebola – airship components from Cardington to the USA etc
The list goes on, and on, and on. If there is a common element, it is the fact that there is invariably a problem – some are relatively minor, some of a major nature.
