STG goes beyond transport considerations
One of the great strengths of the STG team is the ability to manage not only the transport aspect, but also the many contributory elements. Would you prefer STG to arrange the cranes or fork lifts – we can then make certain they are in place when the trucks arrive and vice versa. Likewise dismantling and packing the consignment. If it is an existing plant, on the one hand, not over-dismantling – on the other, not under-dismantling.
STG’s previous major projects
In the past, STG has been involved in major projects involving several hundred vehicles – the record being over four hundred trucks, from Poland to the UK. At this level, site supervision plays an important part – ensuring that the correct item is loaded to its designated trailer and departs not only “fully freighted” but also correctly lashed and secured, with the all important corresponding documentation.
Relocating entire facilities
In a particularly challenging project some years ago, not only were STG responsible for the relocation of a facility in its entirety, but also the refurbishment of the consignment on route – to include shot-blasting to clean metal and repainting, prior to final delivery and re-assembly.
When we say that the refurb took place in Atlanta Georgia, with final destination being the NASA Space Center at Stennis, Mississippi – it will be appreciated that this was slightly more than just a regular, turnkey project..
