We make no excuse for the fact that, pre STG, several members of the team “cut their teeth” on the movement of large construction equipment – throughout not only the UK and Europe, but also much further afield.

The list of manufacturers is considerable – some of which are still with us, others have fallen by the wayside – Caterpillar, Coles, Demag, Fiat-Allis, Hanomag, Hymac, Hydomac, JLG, Jones, Komatsu, Liebherr,  NCK, Poclain, Ruston-Bucryus, Terex to name just a few.

This is only rivalled by the range of equipment – bulldozers, backhoe loaders, excavators, face shovels, graders, mobile cranes, dump trucks, motor scrapers, compactors and many more.

In just about every case, whilst the cargo is abnormal – there is always an added dimension, is it self-propelled? If so, the probability is that it brings into play specialist, low loader equipment – with the facility to self load/self discharge, under its own power.

The same applies to shipments overseas – is there a Rollon/Rolloff service going, even vaguely, in the right direction. With the advent of “round the world” services connecting Europe with the USA, Africa, South America and beyond – much can be accomplished. The record for the STG Team being from the UK to the other side of the world – Christchurch, New Zealand!

The right solutions

At STG we solve transport problems – it’s as simple as that. Below are some related posts that may also be of interest. If you would like to speak to a dedicated account manager for some expert advice please call us or send a message.
